Hey, what a coincidence! I just rewatched this a few days ago! I think we have the exact same copy too! I loved this movie and used to watch it all the time. ONE of my favorite Godzilla films... I say ONE because I'm a HUGE Godzilla fan. I have toys from Japan and actually got collectible cards of him... which I can't really read, but they were totally worth it!!!

never really watched Godzilla but it seems like a good movie. Also the last time I checked it was a free rental on PSN so I may go check it out.

Funny to see this on a show called "Anime Dissection". But really I'm not complaining. Godzilla is the beast of all beasts that can lay everything to waste, and ironically enough this was the first full movie I sat through featuring the big lizard. It has a lot of nostalgic value to me for that reason, and my only regret about how this film and more of the millennium series was executed was... if you're going to use CG then please for the love of god make it look good.
Oh well. I'm eagerly awaiting Toho to reboot the franchise once more since the world will always need Godzilla.

I wonder what James Rolfe would say if he saw this, being a big Godzilla fan and all.

And am I the only one who thought that the UFO, in it's silvery mode, resembles the spaceship in "Flight of the Navigator"?

Why does Japan (with all its history with radiation) have a...hero who vaporizes people with radiation...doesn't make sense.

Still gotta say I miss the "WECOME BACK TO THE CLASSROOM! THIS IS PROFESSOR OTAKU!" line, but all and all an okay review.
My most favorite part was when you said "Looks like the games... AFOOT! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I love it when people make fun of CSI Maimi that show is so random.

playstation cg is right they used that exact scene in the ps2 game. Practicals are always better for special effects becuase it gives an actor something to react to and nothing looks like fire other than fire. And why did the ufo have to look like ultron's cup?
