What is the Desu Des Brigade?
The DesuDes Brigade is a collection of anime reviewers, each of them beginning on YouTube at different times during the year 2009. By Fall 2009, they came together at the beckoning of Professor Otaku, who wanted to form a podcast between several anime reviewers. They eventually decided to create their own website, the Desudes Brigade, employing Malakye’s talents to finish their Suzumiya-like fivesome!

How do I donate?
Please visit the home page and click on the Donate button beneath the image of Vixen pouting pathetically in a bucket. You seriously can’t miss it.
I donated but I never received a Paypal confirmation email / an email from the D2 Brigade with the extra information. What do I do?
If you do not receive a receipt email from PayPal instantly, you may email

in order to ensure whether your order went through or not. Now this is important: The email you use with your PayPal donation will be the email of the membership we look for when upgrading its status to Premium.
Can I donate some of the money now and the rest later to get Premium?
Unfortunately, that would be way too much to worry about to keep track of. We ask that you please wait until you can donate the full $10. If you, say, donate $1 a day for ten days, you will NOT receive Premium Membership.
I’m an anime reviewer too! Can I join?
The D2Brigade is not looking for any additional members at this time.
Can I do a collaborative review with one of you?
Please send an email to the reviewer you wish to collaborate with. Chances are slim, but who knows?
Do you have any tips for aspiring reviewers?
Yes! Don’t be a fanboy/fangirl. Remember that no matter how silly you want to be, you should still keep a certain amount of professionalism to you at all times. Do not waste a video ranting without giving reasons to back up your claims! Be able to take and accept criticism, as well as pick and choose which criticism should be followed and ignored. Memorize your scripts, practice talking in front of the camera as often as you can until you’re comfortable, and have FUN with what you’re doing! If you don’t enjoy making reviews, there’s no point in even starting. So there’s your advice -- now stop asking us!
Do you guys go to conventions? If so, when?
The D2 Brigade attends the annual “Anime Central” or ACEN convention in Rosemont, Illinois. ACEN often takes place in late May from a Friday to Sunday. For more information on the convention, go to: http://www.acen.org.
What is your uploading schedule?
The D2 Brigade is dedicated to offering daily new content, and rarely do we ever fail in providing this; the site works on Eastern Standard time and we do our best to deliver our videos at midnight earliest and by noon latest.
Sunday - Arkada
Monday - Malakye
Tuesday - JesuOtaku
Wednesday - Prof. Otaku
Thursday - Arkada
Friday - Vixen
Saturday - Pocky Spot
I have a live stream account as well! Can I be featured on D2 like Mainme Monday or Late Night?
No.
Why are there ads on your videos?
Ads that play before and overlay during our videos are a pain, we know, but we have them for a reason! Many views and clicks on those ads (you can skip the initial advertisement by clicking on it while it plays) grant us money from Blip, which we desperately need to keep the site going. So if you’d be so kind as to click-skip those initial ads, everyone will be a bit better off in the world!
How do I become an affiliate with the D2 Brigade? Can I get a banner on the front page?
Send an email over to Vixen and she’ll sort things out with you!
I want to interview one of the D2 Brigaders. I want to be a guest on Desu Rattle. Who do I talk to?
That would be Professor Otaku’s department.
I have a review request for one of the Brigaders. Where do I send it?
Each of the Brigade members have a request thread in their individual boards in the forum. You can write it there, or you can send them an email. Check out the Contacts page for where to email requests.
Can I befriend you on any social networking sites?
Indeed you can! The D2 Brigade has a Facebook group, a twitter, and even a group on Steam with both fans and reviewers in them. We also have a page on TV Tropes!
Do you have a banner I can put on my website?
We’re flattered to know that you want to spread the D2 goodness! D2 banners of various sizes can be found on the Links page.
I want to submit fanart!
Great! Attach the file and email it over to Vixen!
I want to send a reviewer an anime DVD /other gift. How would I go about doing that?
Contact them personally through their emails, found on the Contacts page, to make sure this is okay. Please don’t stalk us.
Why did you call yourselves the Desudes Brigade?
The Desudes Brigade’s name was proposed by JO after the five of us spent two days trying to figure out what to call our group. Desudes came from our podcast name (Desu Rattle -- which was named after a play on ‘Death Rattle’. Don’t ask us how that came up, we don’t remember.) and the fact that all of us liked The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, whose group was called the ‘S.O.S’ Brigade. So...we just adapted it! Yay.
What is with the whole “bukkit” theme?
In our first skype voice chat, we had technical difficulties; Arkada’s microphone made him “sound like he was in a bucket” according to Prof. Otaku. The comment was so random, we all laughed, the joke ultimately breaking the ice for us, a group of strangers destined to be an awesome team.
There are some advertisements for 918 the fan on older videos. Are you affiliated with them?
918 the Fan is the website that originally hosted Prof. Otaku and Arkada’s reviews, as well as the first home of the Desu Rattle podcast. It is due to a disagreement with management that Prof. Otaku and Arkada left the site to start their own with Malakye, Vixen, and JesuOtaku. We are not affiliated with them in any way.
I've noticed some awesome art that doesn't look very familiar. Who did them?
Vixen's friends Rabbit and Miunuu helped in providing some artwork for the site! Rabbit provided the art for the Donation Bukkit, the Prepare For Trouble banner, and the Rules banner. Miunuu provided the the flash animations on the D2 Personal pages, the final fantasy fanart banners and the "We love all fans" banner! You can find more of Miunuu's artwork at miunuu.deviantart.com.
